Our second week in Class 4

Posted by on 16/09/2015

We are settling really nicely into the routines and expectations. The Year 1 and Year 2 children in the class are getting on well with each other and we are all finding ways in which we can help others in the class.

We have been starting to make up our own version of Room on the Broom and doing some drama. In maths, Year 1 have been thinking about one more and one less and Year 2 have been learning about 2 digit numbers… we have realised that 25 is not a 2 and a 5 because that would make 7! 25 is actually a 20 and a 5!

We also enjoyed our first session of outdoor education last week where we explored the school grounds to investigate changes that were occurring and improvements that could be made. We started improving the environment straight away with digging up weeds, planting new flowers and sorting the willow dome. If you look carefully you will see the flowers we planted in pots on the way into school!
